The Google Calendar app helps you spend less time managing your schedule and more time enjoying it. Available on Android, iPhone and iPad.
On your iOS device, go to the Calendar app and tap Calendars. Scroll down to Other and tap or to turn the holiday calendar on or off. The name of the holiday calendar indicates which country or region will be displayed. You might need to refresh your calendar after you make changes in order to see the changes. Go to the Calendar app and tap Inbox. Then slowly swipe down from the top of your screen.
On your Mac, go to Calendar > Preferences, then click General. Then click 'Show Holidays calendar' to turn it on or off. If the holiday calendar is turned on, but you don’t see it, click the Calendars button in the upper-left corner of the Calendar app. Make sure that the holiday calendar under Other is selected. You can also go to the Calendar app, click Calendars, then select or deselect US Holidays. You might need to refresh your calendar after you make changes in order to see the changes. Go to Calendar > View > Refresh Calendars.

If you see multiple holiday calendars, you might be subscribed to a third-party holiday calendar or an older iCloud calendar. To unsubscribe from those calendars, follow these steps:
- On your iOS device, go to the Calendar app, then tap Calendars. Scroll down to the iCloud section and search for a holiday calendar. Tap , then tap Delete.
- On your Mac, open Calendar and look under Other. Control-click and select Unsubscribe.
Add other calendars
The Calendar app uses an industry standard format called “iCalendar” for exchanging and scheduling calendar information. You can subscribe to additional calendars like sport schedules and school events. These calendars appear in the iCloud section of their calendar list, learn how to add them.
